As we mentioned in the past, this year’s MS-150 will be coordinated by the Joint ARES Management from East Coast and Crown Districts. Doug Carter (N4FPS) is the Event Incident Commander and there is/will be an entire command team supporting him – including the county Emergency Coordinators. The diagrams below illustrate the current thinking with respect to the Command Structure (all subject to change).
The important part is that this will be a highly-coordinated event. There WILL be at least two Dry-Runs, along with a desktop exercise with all participants. All volunteers will be asked to participate in all of the exercises. “Walk-In” resources will not be allowed on the course, since they would not have been trained. We will not tolerate “party-crashers” as the MS-150 committee will limit participation to sanctioned volunteers only.
